Year 6 Start to the Year
Year 6 have made an excellent start to the school year; they have shown that they are ready for the year ahead. In English, the children have been writing their own version of 'The Selfish Giant' by Oscar Wilde whilst in maths they have been busy problem solving with place value. They have also begun to look at the religion of Islam and our history topic of the Mayas, including their intricate artwork.
Year 6 is an important year and the children have been writing letters of application for various jobs available this year. The letters were very persuasive!
Miss Wagstaff and Mrs Marsland are very impressed with the children and are looking forward to what the year brings!
