Homework expectations

Children are expected to read at least 5 times a week and have their reading record signed. It is important that an adult listens to them read regularly and records this in their diary. We cannot stress enough the importance of daily reading to boost fluency and comprehension skills. Without daily reading at home to support our work in school, children will struggle to meet the expected standard. The only way to improve is to read, read and read again!
